POSITION OVERVIEW

The Instructional Coach, having both content and instructional expertise will work as a colleague with classroom teachers to support student learning and teacher practice. The Instructional Coach will focus on individual and group professional learning that will expand and refine the understanding of researched-base effective instruction for teachers.  In order to meet this purpose, the Instructional Coach will provide personalized, 1:1 support based on the goals and identified needs of individual teachers.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers with planning and delivering classroom lessons
  • Observe and coach teachers on instructional delivery and classroom management
  • Model best teaching practices
  • Analyze student data and lead grade-level data analysis meetings
  • Provide 1:1 or department/ team professional development opportunities
  • Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders

Required Teacher Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Current Teaching License 
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
  • Effective at analyzing and using student data to drive instruction
  • Experience with scheduling
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Hard-working
  • Coachable
  • Hungry, Humble, and People Smart
