POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Chemistry/Physical AScience teacher’s responsibilities include teaching students about chemical and physical science elements, compounds, and reactions, supervising investigations and experiments, developing rapport, and maintaining good relationships with students and parents. You should also attend ongoing education programs and strive to keep students engaged.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Valid Teaching License
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Science, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience working as a Chemistry Teacher or a similar position.

 

POSITION SPECIFICS

  • Implementing lesson plans as per the grade levels.

  • Planning various teaching strategies for content knowledge

  • Delivering engaging chemistry/physical science instruction

  • Planning and arranging students for the science experiments.

  • Supervising students during the practical sessions.

  • Assigning projects and assignments to the students.

  • Recording students’ attendance.

  • Engaging the student’s interest in the classroom.

  • Evaluating students’ examination grades and progress.

  • Analyzing formal and informal data
  • Facilitating fun and interactive learning sessions.

  • Attending educational workshops and training sessions.

  • Helping students in proper usage of school equipment.

  • Parent and student contact

  • Attending parent-teacher conferences and meetings.

  • Creating and maintaining student reports for future reference.

  • Researching various teaching methods and materials.
