General Job Description: This position is for part-time and full-time position within the school nutrition division of Sugar Creek Charter School. The candidate must be able to work a varied schedule according to the business needs. Responsibilities may change daily based on expected and unexpected circumstances. Candidate is expected to be flexible and adjust to the needs of the company. On the job training is available to the right individual.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Prepackage meals items for the students

 

Pre work in food preparation

 

Food preparation and delivery

 

Record HACCP documentation in logbooks/production sheets

 

Serve students meals/snacks as directed

 

Help with food deliveries and storage needs

 

Attend required meetings

 

Four hours continued meetings

 

Knowledge of food safety practice and procedures

 

Recognize and report critical control points

 

Follow directions of school nutrition manager and supervisors

 

Any and all work required for the continuation of the school program

 

Following all direction of manager or supervisor

 

 

Minor Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Keep all work areas clean and sanitary daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments courteous repertoire of all interactions.

 

To be available at any time required by school manager, supervisor or district regardless of notice

 

 

What are the minimum qualifications required for the job position?:

 

Education Qualifications: High school Diploma or GED, ability to use culinary math and read and follow recipe directions.

 

Experience Qualifications: one or more years in commercial food preparation, school nutrition experience preferred, knowledge of commercial food equipment.

 

Other Qualifications: previous culinary experience is preferred however training is available for the right candidate, Serv-Safe certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
